26th Sunday in Ordinary Time – Year A

In today’s homily, I delve into the profound concept of the Kingdom of God and its significance in our lives. I emphasize that the essence of true worship is living in accordance with God’s Will and plan. We explore the idea that God’s call goes beyond mere occupation of space within His church; it encompasses a greater dimension that encompasses our entire Christian life. Drawing from the Diary of St. Faustina, we consider the notion that embracing God’s will on Earth leads to corresponding glory in Heaven. This suggests varying stages of God’s glory for those who align with His teachings and guidance versus those who choose to follow their own paths. To illustrate this point, I share a parable about two sons, which underscores the importance of changing one’s mind and embracing humility in adhering to God’s plan. We discuss the dangers of being guided solely by our feelings and emotions, as they can often lead us astray. I recount a personal experience involving a couple’s journey toward embracing Christian ethics and the significance of following God’s plan for a happy marriage and family life. The video concludes by stressing the importance of not only knowing but also actively following God’s teachings. It highlights that while our culture often emphasizes feelings, in our professional and personal lives, we must prioritize commitment and continuity in following God’s grace to guide and sustain us. Ultimately, the video encourages viewers to seek and embrace God’s plan for their lives, emphasizing that it’s never too late for a change of heart and a commitment to doing His will.
