“I am the good shepherd. A good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” Jesus explains the qualities of a good shepherd.
So Jesus said again, “Amen, amen, I say to you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.
The Lord is rejected by his followers because they do not understand what the Lord wants to say. To have eternal life one needs the Bred of Life which is His Flesh.
Jesus appears to his disciples at the sea of Galilee. Peter’s return to Galilee and resulting disappointment becomes a meeting place with the Lord.
Today’s Word helps us discern the Lord’s voice amidst the world’s distractions. As a result, we can learn how to learn and understand the Word of God.
One of the most significant risks in our spiritual life is underestimating the power of evil. St. Cyril’s analogy helps us understand and defend ourselves against the devious nature of sin.
The Cross is not the end. God, through the Cross, shows His power to bring good out of evil. The Cross is the passage from death to life.
Jesus appears again to his disciples and Thomas, who earlier refused to believe that Jesus was back from the dead. Was it a coincidence that Thomas missed the first appearance?
