This Advent, I’m beginning something new—a series of daily reflections called “The Advent Bridge.” It’s the first time I’ve prepared a series for the Advent season, since I usually focus on Lent. But this year, I felt inspired to offer a way for us to journey together toward the Incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Too often, we get caught up in the rush of holiday preparations and forget what Advent is really about: God coming to dwell among us. Each day, I’ll share a short reflection drawn from the first reading of the daily or Sunday Mass, a small light to guide us through the darkness of winter and the distractions of daily life.
Just as lights illuminate a bridge, these reflections are meant to help us cross from the busyness of the world to the quiet joy of encountering Christ, the Light of the World. My hope is that this Advent journey will deepen our faith, fill us with hope, and prepare our hearts for a truly meaningful Christmas.
